Lead Payroll Specialist NEEDED! 70k+! Our client is looking for a candidate who will directly support the efficient operation of the Human Resources department, strongly focusing on data quality, payroll governance, and record keeping.
Candidates will work on leading and recommending in department projects review and improve current processes. Performs highly complex payroll record error reconciliations, additions, and changes to the payroll system. Responds to inquiries that are of moderate to high complexity from managers and employees. Ensures accuracy of work of Payroll Administrator. Recommends updates and enhancements to the design of the payroll system. Performs regular testing of payroll system updates, enhancements, and bug fixes.
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree; 5+ years of Multi-State Payroll experience required; 3-5 years of experience of payroll processing; knowledge of international payroll processing a plus.
Payroll certification preferred. Candidates without this certification must be willing to obtain it upon hire.
Possesses high degree of knowledge of multi state pay practices, labor laws, tax rules and benefit impacts.
Strong knowledge of payroll preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point required.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficient with payroll software (ADP Workforce Now & Workday).
